AMANI

My name is Amani Garrido and I am a rising senior at Kipp NYC College Prep. For the summer, I joined a College Now New Media Arts program, learning how to build websites, taking professional photographs,  the complex process of video editing, and how the smallest ideas can grow and blossom into a huge idea. We used software such as Premiere Pro and Photoshop. While Photoshop was a fairly easy software, Premiere Pro was much more complex. Making the website was fun but hard. I was amazed by the amount of templates for each website; searching two words can bring up more than a hundred different templates. The part about making the website I enjoy the most was taking the photos with the camera. It's way more fun than taking selfies on your phone. Seeing how different backgrounds, lighting and even clothing can affect the quality of the photos. I never knew i was a really good photographers; most of the photos I had taken came out really good.

Our website was about violence. Violence is the act of physically harming another human, whether intentionally or unintentionally. I always knew that there were many organization.
